Back to Church - Or Not...

Just came across this page. A novel alternative (or maybe complement) to 'Back to Church Sunday'.

Take a look - it is thought provoking and has some interesting ideas. Whilst for some 'Back to Church Sunday' works for many it won't even begin to work in a month of proverbials...

I can understand why we wish to see more folk in church and do not wish our churches to close, but I can't help but feel that it conveys a degree of desperation which those outside of our church frameworks will not fail to pick up. Bit like going out with a desperate date really.

The idea of seeing people return to the church and rediscover faith is really great but if weputa bit more effort into 'Dontgotochurchsunday' we might be acknowledged as being involved, concerned and caring in our communities, and a little less desperate.
