Feniton

Feniton is a large Village in East Devon. Danny & Helen Moved into the villeage to re-start work at the old chapel which closed in 2004.

Feniton is a Re-planting project to look at ways to breathe new life into a closed Chapel, It started as a partnership between SWBA and Rural Expression. The SWBA has been very helpful with strategic funding to start the project as well as practical and prayer support. 

At the moment we are still in the ‘infiltration and initial contact’ stages of the plant. Our hope is to create a church for those outside of traditional church boundaries. So far we have made a number of good friendships and contacts in the village. Danny has had good contact in the school as well as other village organisations.

Our hope is to start meeting at home and to develop a number of enquiry groups for people in the village who want to ask questions about faith and Jesus. We use the chapel building as a children’s cinema once a month and computer club - but the use of the building is currently under review.
