Re-imagining Rural Church

village victory

Tradition has it that Pennymoor Congregational church go to the Poughill Harvest service in October, so we had no service of our own.  We still had a good month though.  Another connection has been made with the local people.

The Parish Hall Committee put on a Coffee morning and sale on the first Saturday, rather than us doing it ourselves.  It was extremely well attended, we made lots of new connections and some money for the Chapel and Parish Hall besides.

A lovely man in the village has also made an excellent notice board for us, which will be put up soon. Thanks Bob.

The Church meeting went very well and we have agreed that, since our 1st Sunday service isn't close enough to Christmas, we will have an extra 'service' of Carol singing in the local Pub on Friday 18th december.

Please pray for good attendance and relationships to be formed.  Thanks, Ruth
